KEARNEY, NE – The University of Nebraska Kearney Athletic Department announced the inception of the 1st annual Blue/Gold Rush Raffle event for Athletic Scholarships. The Rush event is part of an extended initiative to provide Loper student-athletes with scholarships.
The event is scheduled to take place at the Kearney Holiday Inn from 5:30-7:30 PM and is open to chamber members as well as the general public.  This is a great opportunity to mingle with some of UNK's coaches and student-athletes as they will be in attendnace throughout the evening. Tickets are on sale for $25 for 1, 3 for $60 or 6 for $100. Purchasing a ticket qualifies you to be entered into a reverse raffle event for a chance to win any of the following prizes:
• Caribbean Island Escape - A seven day, six night stay for four (4) at exclusive Tranquility Bay Resort in Belize. ($2,500 Value) – donated by Richard Strand.
• Home Entertainment Package – Imagine enjoying your favorite sporting event, show or movie on a state-of-the-art LG 50” LCD High Resolution TV HD Monitor, in the comfort of your brand new Lane Action Leather Recliner/rocker. The reverse raffle will get underway at 6 PM. Once the raffle begins, all tickets that have been sold will be displayed on the board and will be called out as tickets are drawn. The 1st and 50th tickets drawn will win the cash prizes. The raffle gets interesting when 7 individuals are left on the board. These individuals will win the final 7 prizes. Other door prizes will be given away throughout the evening as well. Hor Devours and beverages will be available courtesy of the Holiday Inn.
Attendance is not required to win and tickets may be purchased from anywhere in the world. Only cash, checks or debit cards will be accepted. The Blue/Gold Rush will be featured live on lopers.com and accessible to the general public for free.
