Bill Murphy MA, ATC
Head Athletic Trainer
2012 marks the 17th year that Bill Murphy has served as Head Athletic Trainer at UNK. A native of Hershey Nebraska, Bill came to UNK in 1992 as a graduate assistant and was hired after his first year. He finished his Master of Science Degree in Exercise Science at UNK while serving as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. In 1995 he was hired as the Head Athletic Trainer and has held that position since then. Bill earned his Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and is a graduate of Hershey high school
Murphy oversees the delivery of medical care for all 17 NCAA sports here at UNK, as well as teaching in the Athletic Trianing Education Program (ATEP) program and Physical Education department. His primary sport responsibilities include Football and Men's Basketball.
Bill and his wife Melissa currently reisde in Kearney with thier son Kale.
