J.L. ‘Cap’ Williams earned four letters in both football and basketball between 1928 to 1932. He was considered the toughest player on both squads as a lineman in football and a forward in basketball. ‘Cap’ was selected team captain twice. He coached at Hazard, Wilsonville, Hebron, Cambridge, Oxford and Kearney until his retirement in 1972.
