Paul Blessing was a three-sport star from 1936 to 1942. He was the leading scorer in basketball during the 1939-40 1940-41 seasons. After graduating, Blessing played for the Detroit Lions professional football team in 1944. Following World War II, he coached football, basketball and track in Englewood, Colorado.
