Tom earned four letters in basketball from 1975 to 1978. When the Lopers finished second at the 1978 National NAIA basketball tournament, Ritzdorf was named the tourney’s most valuable players and was a member of the all-tournament team. Ritzdorf played on three teams that qualified for the national tournament. When he graduated, he was fourth in both career scoring and career rebounds.
