Kearney, Neb. - The Nebraska-Kearney men's golf team shot a 36-hole total of 618 to finish in third place at the Nebraska Intercollegiate Tuesday in Columbus.
The
two-day, nine team tournament was played Monday in Fremont (Fremont C.C.) and Tuesday in Columbus (Elks C.C.).
UNK sat in fourth place after the first round with a 303. Shooing a 315 at the Elks, the Lopers managed to pass Central C.C.-Columbus into third. Wayne State (611) edged Hastings (612) for first place.
Washington junior
C.A. Everson came in fourth with a 149 (74-75). His 36 holes included six birdies and 19 pars plus a -3 stroke average on par 5 holes.
Logan Almond of Central C.C. was the medalist with a 144 (68-76).

Garrett Goldsberry tied for 7th (152/71-81), Kearney senior
Alex Farrell tied for 9th (153/76-77), Aurora sophomore
Ryan Grossnicklaus came in 23rd (164/82-82) and Kansas senior
Nathan Gile tied for 27th (166/83-83).
Farrell had one of the three Eagles in the tournament and was the tournament leader in par 5 holes, averaging four under par.
UNK finishes its fall season this coming Monday/Tuesday at the RMAC Fall Invite # 3 in Silver City, N.M.
