Dane Tobey will compete in the shot put at this weekend's U.S. Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Des Moines, Iowa.
This week, Tobey (Waco) snagged the 18th and last spot in the event. He earned a provisional mark with his NCAA Division II national championship throw of 62-7.25.
The men's shot will take place Sunday, June 27th, at noon. Drake University his hosting the meet; Tobey won the shot at the Drake Relays back in April.
Also, Luke Pinkelman (Cozad) of Nebraska received the 17th spot.
