Nowak (Omaha Roncalli), a junior, earned his first win as a Loper pitcher with a gem in Sunday's 9-1 victory at Regis.

Helping UNK sweep the series from the Rangers, Nowak didn't allow an earned run over seven full innings. With only 5.1 innings of experience prior to this start, he fanned three and allowed just two hits.

Also a reserve infielder, he went went 2 for 6 in the series with four RBI's.
