A junior from McCook, Hiatt earned a win and save as the Loper softball team split a series at Mesa State over the weekend.

Facing a team picked to win the RMAC title, Hiatt threw two complete games and had a stellar 1.87 ERA for the weekend.

She won the series opener, saved the series finale and threw a complete game two-hitter in Sunday's first game. In that 4-1 loss, she no hit Mesa for the first five innings.

On the year, Hiatt has six of UNK's seven wins and thrown 65% of the team's innings.
