University of Nebraska - Kearney Athletics

On a day made for throwers, Tobey (Waco) broke his own school record in the discus and had another NCAA provisional toss in the shot put this past Saturday at Kearney High.

Going against Chadron State in a dual, Tobey first won the shot with a throw of 57-11.75, which currently ranks third nationally. He then won the discus with a heave of 187-1, just above of his record of 186-10, set last April in Kearney.

That throw is his second straight NCAA automatic effort and ranks him third nationally.
