University of Nebraska - Kearney Athletics

The former Scottsdale College Fighting Artichoke, Metter (Phoenix, Ariz.) didn't allow an earned run in 10.0 innings last week as the UNK baseball team beat UNO and took three of four from New Mexico Highlands. 

On Wednesday at Werner Park in Papillion, Metter struck out four and needed less than 30 pitches to get through three innings of scoreless relief against the Mavericks. 

He then started the second game of the Highlands series on Saturday and tossed a complete game eight-hitter. He struck out five, walked just one and shut out HU over the final six frames.

Metter currently leads UNK in wins (seven) and complete games (five).
