Sanabria, a senior from Minden, earned All-American honors by placing 39th at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships last Saturday in Spokane, Wash.

Thanks to a late push, Sanabria cracked the top 40 to become the first Loper man to earn cross country All-American honors in 17 years.

In a field of 187 runners, he completed the 10k course in 32:02.60.
