A senior from Colorado, Brunkhardt worked overtime, literally, to go 2-0 this past weekend as UNK beat Colorado Mesa and Western State.
Coming off a 3-1 OT victory over 8th-ranked Adam Carey of CSU-Pueblo on Jan. 26th, Brunkhardt continued to live on the edge as he used a last second takedown to beat No. 8 Nick Peterson of CMU, 3-1, Friday night.
Things were even tougher Saturday against 20-match winner Kyle Piatt of Western. Brunkhardt capped an 11 minute match by riding out Piatt to claim a 3-2 victory and also give the Lopers a 20-10 lead in the dual.
Brunkhardt is currently 12-4 with two majors.
