For a second straight week, a true freshman stepped up for the Loper men's basketball team as forward Tyler Shields (Kearney H.S.) scored 44 points and grabbed 27 rebounds in three games.

After having nine rebounds (eight offensive) in a loss at UNO, Shields went for 19 points and 13 boards Friday as UNK came from 21 down to beat CSU-Pueblo.
