Running in a meet for the first time in over month, Bongers (East Butler H.S.) won the 800 meter run Friday night at UNL.

Her time of 2:13.07 not only is the second fastest in D2 this season but also breaks Michelle Dill's school record (2:14.67), set in February 2008.
