Fruit won the mile at the 2013 MIAA Indoor Championships last weekend at Central Missouri, running a in 4:13.04. He joined junior Marissa Bongers (800) as Loper to win at the meet.

Fruit also scored team points by placing fourth at 3,000 meters (8:33.90).
