Fruit is also the MIAA Male Track Athlete of the Week after smashing a 38-year old school record at 5,000 meters last Thursday at the prestgious Drake Relays in Iowa.

Running a 14:14.58, Fruit placed third in a field of 26 and now has the best time in the MIAA in the event by over 12 seconds. He also ranks 14th on the national list.
