Tobey had UNK's top finish at the Holiday Inn Invitational Saturday in Lincoln when he was runner up in the shot put thanks to a throw of 57-0.25

That effort provisionally qualifies him for the NCAA Championships in March.

Tobey also was 9th in the weight throw (54-2.50), an event he is already provisionally qualified in.
