Martinez earned Most Outstanding Wrestler honors (National College bracket) at the Virginia Duals.

Ranked 4th at 174 lbs. in Division II, Martinez went 4-1 against D1 competition, having a fall and three decisions.

This marked his first competition of the 2013-14 season.
