A junior southpaw, Smith did some Yeoman's work in UNK 8-6 (13 inning) win over Pitt State on Saturday. A long reliever, he went the final 6.2 innings, a season-high, to earn the win.

Smith has now throw 11.2 scoreless innings, pushing his season ERA to 2.75.
