For a second straight season, DeShazer placed at the Cliff Keen Invitational in Las Vegas.

He went 5-2 to be sixth at 133 lbs., beating three seeded wrestlers, all from D1 schools. His five wins were all in a row and he forfeited out of the true fifth place match.
