Tobey had another big weekend, recording two more NCAA automatic efforts in the shot put and discus.

At the Nebraska Invite in Lincoln, he won the shot (58-9.25), the only Loper to place first in the large meet. He also was runner up in the discus (180-8) with a throw that currently leads all of Division II
