Williams earned medalist honors at the 2017 Nebraska Intercollegiate in Norfolk by besting teammate Jay Cottam and Midland's Hunter Giesselmann in a playoff. All three fired a 2-under par 70.

A transfer from East Central, Williams had 12 pars and four birdies during regulation.
