Tobey had another meet to remember as he broke his own discus record and had another NCAA automatic qualifying throw in the shot.

On Friday at the UNK Twilight meet, Tobey won the discus with a big throw of 186-10, 17 feet further then the runner up. In April 2006, he set the UNK record at 183-7.

Tobey already led the nation with a previous-season best throw of 180-8.

He also won the shot with a throw of 58-4.75, besting UNL's Luke Pinkelman and Chadron State's Cody Hunt.
