Kicked a 28-yard field goal with eight second left to help UNK edge Washburn, 17-16, in Topeka. It was the Lopers first win over the 'Bods since 1985. 

A true freshman, Covarrubias ended 2018 with 12 made field goals, tied for second most in the MIAA
