Schmidt was one of several Loper throwers to have a strong Saturday at the annual Charlie Foster Pre-Holiday Classic.Â
The McCook sophomore was runner up in the shot (48-1.25) and third in the weight throw (58-3). Both tosses are career-best efforts, place her on the national list and into the UNK all-time top 10 (second, weight throw; seventh, shot).Â
