Led the Loper track and field team at the NCAA Championships in Pittsburg, Kan., by earning second-team All-American honors in the shot put.

Now a two-time All-American in the event, Bartling finished ninth out of 20 thanks to a top throw of 58-3. He was one of three MIAA throwers to crack the top 10.
