University of Nebraska - Kearney Athletics

A reserve forward Backes helped UNK go 2-0 on its trip to Puerto Rico. She recorded her second career double double (11 rebs. & 10 points) in a Friday win over Sacred Heart and then had a team-best 17 points the  next day vs. D2 indy P.R. Mayaguez. Backes had 27 points, 17 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals and a block in 37 minutes of work over the two games.
