Backes, a reserve sophomore forward, represented UNK on the 2020 MIAA All-Tournament team. She helped the Lopers go 1-1 in Kansas City, having a career-best 21 points in a Friday afternoon win over Missouri Western State. Over the two games she averaged 16.0 points and 6.0 rebounds while shooting 67% from the field.
