Schmidt was a double winner at the Bearcat Invite this past weekend. She won the shot with a toss of 46-7.25 and then took the gold in the weight throw (62-9.25). That distance is a new meet and arena record. Currently Schmidt is fifth in D2 in the weight throw and 12th in the shot.
