Something in Western New Mexico brings out the best in Spitzlberger, UNK's starting QB the past three years.

In a 56-31 win over the Mustangs in Silver City, Spitzlberger threw for 298 yards and three scores and also ran for 58 yards and three more TD's.

He directed an offense that scored TD's on seven straight drives and amassed 632 yards, the most by the Lopers in eight years.

In three career games vs. Western, Spitzlberger is 50 of 68 for 802 yards and 10 TD's with 27 carries for 164 yards and 7 TD's
