"Big" Ben Hohensee went 5-0 to win the 285 lbs. class at the 2010 Fort Hays State/Bob Smith Open this past Saturday in Kansas.

Improving to 10-2, Hohensee (Monett, Mo.) won three matches by decision and two by fall.

His tournament included a 2-1 win over Oklahoma's Kyle Colling, a 3-2 semifinal win over No. 1 seed Taylor Escamilla of UNO that featured a last second takedown and a pin of Chadron's Sam Udell in the finals.

In November, Hohensee was runner up at the Wyoming Cowboy Open.
