A junior from Colorado Springs, Vanessa Leeper had one career double double heading into the weekend but now has three after strong efforts in wins over Western State and Mesa State.

On Friday night against the Mountaineers, Leeper had career-highs in points (21) and rebounds (14) as UNK won 85-82. Her production helped offset the loss of leading scorer Megan Becker, who was limited to 14 minutes due to foul trouble.

Against Mesa, Leeper had a strong second half to finish with 12 points and 12 rebounds as UNK held on for a 79-68 victory.

On the year, Leeper is at 15.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per game while shooting 81.8 pct. at the line.
