Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska-Kearney football team used a series of big plays, and got two key stops by its defense, to rout Colorado State-Pueblo, 44-12, Saturday afternoon at Ron & Carol Cope Stadium at Foster Field.
With the win, UNK (5-1, 4-0 RMAC) remains unbeaten in the RMAC. Colorado School of Mines plays at Mesa State Saturday night; both of those teams are 3-0 in league play.
This also marked the Lopers eighth straight home win, the longest such streak since then-Kearney State reeled of 17 straight home victories from 1976-79.
CSUP, making it's first-ever trip to Kearney, loses a second straight game and falls to 3-3 (2-2 RMAC) on the year.
