Football Rally Falls Late at Wayne State

Kearney, Neb. – The Wayne State defense came up with a last second stand, and the Wildcat offense got going in the second half, to beat Nebraska-Kearney, 21-16, Saturday night at Cunningham Field in Wayne.

This was the season opener for both teams.

With about a minute to go, UNK had four chances from the Wildcat 9-yard line to win the game but four passes fell incomplete.
