Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska-Kearney football team scored on its first five drives, including a 99-yard touchdown pass from sophomore Jake Spitzlberger to junior Kyle Kaiser, to roll past Western State, 45-13, Saturday afternoon at Ron & Carol Cope Stadium at Foster Field.

The RMAC opener for both, the Lopers (2-1) have now beaten the Mountaineers (0-3) six straight times. Dating back to last year, UNK has won its last five RMAC home games by a combined score of 227-27.

Moment of the Game
A 99-yard TD pass from Jake Spitzlberger to Kyle Kasier early in the 1st quarter made it 14-0 and the Lopers rolled form there.
