Volleyball Reaches 30 Wins for 25th Time

Kearney, Neb. - The 4th-ranked Nebraska-Kearney volleyball team swept Chadron State (-11, -15, -16) Friday night at the Health & Sports Center to reach 30 wins for the 25th time in school history.

The Lopers (30-1, 18-0 RMAC) also beat the Eagles (5-21, 5-14 RMAC) for a 51st straight time, dating back to 1985.

Winning a 24th straight match, UNK need just over an hour to beat Chadron. The Lopers smashed home 50 kills and hit .366 while also recording 49 digs.

Individually, senior Kelli Wemhoff is moving close to Angie Usher's all-time dig record of 2,058. Playing libero tonight, Wemhoff had 10 digs, pushing her career total to 2,005. Usher and Wemhoff are the only two Lopers to have reached the 2,000 dig mark.
