Kim Thissen scored a career high 13 points to lead the Nebraska-Kearney women's basketball team to its first road win of the season and snapped Adams seven game win streak,
63-56, Friday night in Alamosa, Colorado.
Lopers improve to 2-5, 2-1 in the RMAC, while the Grizzlies fall to 7-2, 2-1 in the RMAC. UNK is now 20-0 all time against Adams State.
Moment of the Game
UNK got out to a 3-0 lead, then Adams went on a 16-2 run with 11:37 left in the first half. Adams biggest lead of the first half was 11 points and they were still up six at the half.
The 2nd half was a different story as the Lopers quickly erased Adams six point lead and grabbed its first lead since the 19:54 mark of the first half. UNK would lead for the last 11 minutes and have at least a five point cushion during that time.
On the night, the Loper bench outscored the Grizzlies,19-9. Adams did out rebound the Lopers, 43-38, including a big 19-7 edge in offensive boards.
