Kearney, Neb. - Junior guard DeAndre Lansdowne scored 30 points to lead the Fort Lewis men's basketball team to an
85-70 win over Nebraska-Kearney Saturday night in Durango, Colo.
Fort Lewis (8-1, 3-1 RMAC) has now beaten the Lopers (6-4, 2-2 RMAC) three straight times but still trails in the all-time series, 11-8.
Moment of the Game
The 'Hawks jetted out to a 27-6 lead by the midway point of the 1st half and never looked back. UNK did get the deficit down by the break, 44-33, but never got closer then nine points in the 2nd half
Over the first 10 minutes, UNK had three turnovers and went 2 of 11 from the field. Meanwhile, Fort Lewis made 7 of its 14 threes during this 27-6 run.
For the game, FLC was an impressive 14 of 30 from beyond the arc. That helped negate UNK's advantage in points in the paint, 30-18.
