Kearney, Neb. - The 7th-ranked Fort Lewis women's basketball team used some balanced scoring and stifling defense to beat Nebraska-Kearney,
81-35, Saturday night in Durango, Colo.
The senior-laden Skyhawks, who advanced to the Sweet 16 last year, improve to 11-1 (3-1 RMAC) while UNK falls to 2-6 (2-2 RMAC).
The Lopers still lead the all-time series, 20-4, but FLC has now won three of the last four games between the two.

FLC, on the other hand, shot 50.8 percent (32 of 63) and also out rebounded UNK by eight, 33-25. The Skyhawks led 13-4 about five minutes into the game and slowly built its lead from there.
