Kearney, Neb. - The Nebraska-Kearney men's basketball team returned from a long break to shoot 53 percent from the field, and made five three pointers in a four minute span, to roll past Doane,
74-47, Saturday night at the Health & Sports Center.
UNK improves to 7-4 while the Tigers fall to 3-11.

Playing its first game since Dec. 18th, UNK didn't score its first points until the 16:05 mark. However, the Lopers trailed by just a 5-2 score.
About six minutes later, the Lopers suddenly led 23-13 as five threes fell. Shooting over 50 percent all night long, Kearney never trailed after that 5-0 deficit.
Doane struggled offensively all night, making just 19 of 56 shots (33.9 pct.). That included a 1 of 14 effort from beyond the arc.
UNK would go 9 of 21 from the triple line to finish 32 of 60 overall from the field. The Lopers also won the battle on the glass, 41-30, and got 30 points from its bench.
