On Friday night, the 19th-ranked Metro State volleyball team hit .283 and got 36 digs from junior libero Ngoc Phan to beat 9th-ranked Nebraska-Kearney in five sets (21-25, -18, 20-25, -21, -12) Friday night at the Health & Sports Center. 

On the following night, the 9th ranked University of Nebraska Kearney volleyball team swept Regis on Saturday afternoon, (-16, -16, -12), in the Health & Sports Center.

UNK improves to 24-4 and 15-1 in conference play while the Rangers fall to 15-10 and to 10-6 in conference play.
