Kearney, Neb. – Senior post Justin Neuhaus scored 32 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead Colorado Christian past Nebraska-Kearney,
82-69, Saturday night at the Health & Sports Center.
CCU improves to 11-15 (9-10 RMAC) and qualifies for the RMAC Tournament while UNK ends the season 13-14 (8-11 RMAC).

The Lopers started the game on 16-6 run as sophomores

Max Froehlich combined to score 11 points.
As it did in winning the last two games, UNK continued to shoot well and led 37-31 at the half. The Lopers made 4 of 9 threes in the 1st half and shot a respectable 44.8 percent from the field.
However, Colorado Christian started the second half on 20-5 scoring explosion to lead 51-42.
In the second half, CCU would make an unreal 73.7% (14-19) of its shots while UNK shot 26% (10-38) from the field. The Lopers, who finished 9 of 36 from beyond the arc, didn't reach 47 points until their was nine minutes left in the game.
Neuhaus, 6-10 transfer from Division I Texas State, is the only player to have two 30 point games against the Lopers in the past ten years. Last season, he scored 37 in a win over the Lopers in Colorado.
Thanks to Neuhaus and fellow post Jobi Wall, CCU out rebounded the Lopers, 46-38, and made 16 more free throws, 26-10.
