Men's Basketball Hangs onto Beat Regis

Ridgeway limits RMAC's second leading scorer
Kearney, Neb. – Junior Max Froehlich tied his career high in points (30) to lead Nebraska-Kearney past Regis, 66-59, Saturday afternoon at the Health & Sports Center.

The Lopers improves to 10-11 (5-8 RMAC), ending a four game losing streak, while the Rangers fall to 7-14 (2-11 RMAC).

Nebraska-Kearney leads the all-time series 27-6 and has now won 21 of the last 22 meetings against Regis.

Moment of the Game
UNK led much of the 1st half thanks to cold shooting by the Rangers, who shot only 21% (6-28) from the floor. Meanwhile, the Lopers made 46% (13-28) of its shots to lead 35-23 at the break. Froehlich scored 21 of his 30 points in the first twenty minutes.

With 11:54 in the 2nd half, UNK was up just 40-39 and then went on 18-9 scoring run to put the Rangers away. Senior Josiah Parker scored 8 of 12 points during this stretch with Regis/ Matt Rosinski tallying 11 of his team leading 21 points in the last 6:48 of the game.

UNK outscored the Ranger bench, 20-2, and won the battle on the glass,  41-35, as well.
