Kearney, Neb. - After a record-breaking fall season, Nebraska-Kearney head football coach
Darrell Morris was recently named the Omaha World Herald's 2010 Midlands College Men's Coach of the Year.
In 2009, the Lopers won a school-record 11 games, won its third even RMAC title and won a postseason game for the first time in 29 years. Finally, Morris is now 73-35 in 10 years as leader of the Kearney program.
Non-Division schools in Nebraska submitted nominations and the winner was chosen by a committee of World-Herald staff writers.
