UNO Swims Past Aqualopers in Regular Season Finale

Kearney, Neb. - The Nebraska-Kearney women's swimming & diving team closed out the 2010-11 regular season by falling to Nebraska-Omaha, 163-90, Saturday afternoon in the Cushing Pool.

UNK finishes the dual season at 2-3 while UNO improves to 2-2-1.

Placing first, and scoring nine team points, were South Dakota junior Heather Glodt (200 I.M./2:29.57), Alma junior Ariel Christensen (200 breast/3:07.13), Grand Island freshman Jayne McGovern (500 free/5:55.36) and Kansas freshman Cassie Bonds (100 fly/1:06.30).

Bonds also was runner up in the 100 free (58.87) and Glodt finished third in the 100 breast (1:13.91) and 50 free (26.37).

In diving, Bartley junior Kim Ellicott returned from injury to score 148.54 points at one meter.

UNK returns to the pool in two weeks at the RMAC Championships in Grand Junction, Colo.
