Kearney, Neb. - The 7th-ranked Nebraska-Kearney volleyball team hit .423 and recorded eight blocks to sweep Chadron State (
-11, -11, -16) Thursday night at Armstrong Gymnasium.
UNK (17-1, 7-1 RMAC) pushes its win streak over the Eagles (4-15, 0-8 RMAC) to 55 consecutive, dating back to the fall of 1983.
Four the fourth time this season, UNK hit at least .400 as they had 50 kills and just nine errors in 97 attempts. Chadron, mean while, hit .075 (23-15-107).
The Lopers also recorded at least 8.0 team blocks for a fourth match in a row. Sophomore middle
Ellie Pesavento (Omaha Marian) had a team-best four blocks with three others having two a piece.

Katie Sokolowski (Kearney Catholic) had 12 kills, one off her career high, while hitting a match-high .611 (12-1-18). Next, outsides
Ashley Leitner (16 kills & 10 digs) and
Ariel Krolikowski (10 kills & 13 digs) each had double doubles
Finally, junior DS
Kaleigh Anderson (Lincoln SW) and freshman libero
Liz McGowan (GI Central Catholic) both dug up 13 balls.
Chadron was paced by Jessica Jester (four blocks and three kills).
