Aqualopers Go 11 for 11 to beat Flames

Kearney, Neb. - The Nebraska-Kearney women's swim team won all 11 events to beat the College of St. Mary, 277-160, Friday night in Omaha.

Leading the Aqualopers tonight was true freshman Michelle Reutter (Worland, Wyo.) who placed first in the 50 free, 100 fly and 100 breaststroke.

She swam the 50 in 26.75, the fly in 1:07.76 and the 100 breast in 1:18.02.

Other individual winners were senior Krissie Mikulan in the 100 free (1:04.92), sophomore Cassie Bonds in the 200 individual medley (2:31.30) and true freshmen Shelby Laramore (1,650 free/18:43.66), Rebecca Tidwell (200 free/2:12.07), Kayleigh Jones (100 back/1:09.80) and Taylor Riesselman (500 free/1:18.02).

Also getting into the first place act were sophomores Jayne McGovern (Grand Island) and freshmen Jamie Jenkinson (Kansas City, Mo.). They helped the 800 free relay team win in a time of 9:14.45.

Finally, the 400 medley team of Tidwell, Bonds, Riesselman and Jones started the night off with a win in 4:45.28.

UNK heads to Sioux City, Iowa, Saturday for the Morningside College Invite.
