Wolves Swim Past Aqualopers

Kearney, Neb. - The Northern State University women's swim team won eight events to get past Nebraska-Kearney, 119-86, Friday night in Aberdeen, S.D.

The Aqualopers got first place finishes from sophomore Cassie Bonds (Wichita, Kans.) in the 50 free (26.07) and freshman Shelby Laramore (Edmond, Okla.) in the 1,000 free (11:19.95) and 500 free (5:36.90).

Freshman Kara Martin (Sioux City, Ia.) was runner up to Laramore in both the 500 (5:42.90) and 1,000 (11:39.23) free and thus scoring eight team points. 

Of note, Bonds was second in the 100 fly (1:04.28) and freshman Taylor Riesselman (Omaha Burke) was runner up in both the 200 free (2:08.37) and 100 backstroke (1:06.09).

UNK is off until the annual UNO Mutual of Omaha Invite in early December.
