Kearney, Neb. - The Nebraska-Kearney baseball team will begin its 2011 season this week with four games against Wayne State.

The games were to have been played at the Metrodome but, because of the roof issue there, they have been moved to Emporia, Kans.

Also, because of the forecast this weekend, the two teams will now play Thursday (12:00 p.m.) and Friday (11:00 a.m.). The series was originally set for Saturday and Sunday.

On both days, doubleheaders will be played.

UNK has 16 seniors on a team that went 36-20 (20-12 RMAC) last year and earned an NCAA Tournament berth.
